Occidental鈥檚 dining program is known for its variety, quality, and commitment to sustainability.

Occidental鈥檚 Campus Dining team prepares all meals on campus, using fresh, locally sourced ingredients and offering a wide range of vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options. Our dining services also emphasize environmental responsibility through sustainable sourcing and waste-reduction practices.

Meal Plan Overview

If you live in a residence hall, you鈥檙e required to purchase a meal plan. Students living in other College-owned houses鈥攐r off campus鈥攎ay also choose to purchase a plan for added flexibility.
Meal plans can be used at any of Occidental鈥檚 dining locations:

  • The Marketplace 鈥� cafeteria-style dining with daily rotating menus
  • Tiger Cooler 鈥� fast-casual caf茅 with grab-and-go options
  • Berkus Hall Saturday Dinner 鈥� weekend community meals
  • The Green Bean 鈥� student-run coffee shop featuring locally roasted coffee and snacks

Compare available plans to decide which option best fits your schedule and dining preferences. Once you鈥檙e ready, submit your selection online.

NOTE: Meal plan selection will begin in December for new students transferring in Spring 2027.

New Student Dining FAQs

Yes. The Marketplace offers vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and allergen-friendly options at every meal, with clear labeling for dietary needs. If you have specific questions or medical dietary requirements, Campus Dining staff can work with you directly to help you navigate available options.
